Hey there, guys! I’m super thrilled to be sharing today’s post with you! Since ya’ll seem to go crazy for styling posts around here AND you know about my un-tamable love [ok, let’s call it what it is – my obsession] for throw pillows, I’m going to show you how to style a sofa with 2 different looks! The other fabulous part about today’s post is I’m joining an amazing group of bloggers who are also dishing on their sofa styling tips, how to get the look, sources and more! So be sure to scroll to the end of the post to check out the others’ sofa scoop!
Ok – I’ve officially decided. I’m never buying another throw pillow. #yeahright
Ok, so I don’t think I could put a stop to my pillow shopping madness even if I tried, but I do know this. I am so going to be making another set or several more DIY cloth napkin pillows yet this year. If you are a This is our Bliss Facebook page “liker” (which I hope you are!) then you have already seen my holiday napkin find. It’s too good….
Pretty. sure. you’ll be seeing these pop up around my house come December 😉 Probably on my couch…or my table…or both! This 12 red, white and black plaid napkins is only $19.99 – that’s like 6 pillows for 20 bucks. I don’t think you can even score that at GW.
So today…wait for it… I’m sharing…
5 Fab Cloth Napkin finds!
I love a classic stripe! These fall-ish colored striped napkins would look fabulous on your fall or Thanksgiving table. You really can’t go wrong with a stripe in any color – so timeless! Also, $19.99 for a set of 12 😉 This set is super cute for obvious reasons. This gorgeous turkey might end up stealing the show. I found these at Loom Décor, where you can create custom napkin sets starting at just $38! Again, if you want to use them for pillows, you’ve scored yourself a MAJOR deal here. Their variety is crazy huge!
And these….well if you know me, then you know my heart is jumping out of my chest right now! I mean these large-scale black and white checks (also known as buffalo plaid) are ah-mazing. The set of 6 even comes in this steel bucket and is available in 3 different colors!
If you saw my Thanksgiving table last year, then you’ll see you can go absolutely anywhere with your color scheme. I love black and white everything with pops of glitz and glam, so a stripe, check or plaid in these classic colors is a DO any time of the year!
Paisley says warm and inviting to me, so these paisley napkins would also make a lovely addition to your table or couch this season. The colors are a bit more traditional for a fall gathering, but the pattern still gives off a fresh, chic look.
And these Crate & Barrel “Harvest” napkins are spot-on for autumn and into Thanksgiving, but would surely make a great addition to a summer tablescape or BBQ, too! Maybe it’s my inner Iowa girl surfacing 😉
Call me a coo-koo cloth napkin lady, but I think I need all of them!
I hope you are digging this napkin thing as much as I am, because I am still so in love with my fall plaid throw pillows I made out of just 2 of these bad boys. Annnd if you don’t want to undertake the super easy DIY throw pillow task, then try one of my other alternative ideas for how to use your table linens!
And lets take a minute to look back to these black and white beauties!
Buckets of buffalo check napkins for all!!
Are your wheels spinning with where to buy your next cloth napkins? Who knew?! Never thought I’d be on such a mission!
I’m so excited to hit the neighborhood tomorrow escorted by my cutie pie pumpkin and dashing Mickey Mouse…dad will be along for the ride, too…Maybe even toting along some “adult treats”?!
Wishing you all a very happy, safe (and warm) Halloween weekend!

Since I have been focusing so much of my time & effort on the One Room Challenge, I thought it was only appropriate to tie in this week’s 5 Fab Finds with an aspect of the guestroom I have been working on recently—pillow collaborations for the bed. Mixing and matching [and not matching] pillows around the house is one of my favorite things to do. Hoarding throw pillows and pulling them out of the depths of the closets every now and then has become a favorite pastime of mine 🙂
Pillows are a great way to finish a space by adding texture, color or just a little pop of fun! Some people talk about a special formula when arranging pillows, but I tend to just stick with the rule of odd numbers and go with what I like…typically, neutral colors, but in bold prints or that have some sort of texture. Small embellishments, hints of metallic or unique piping / cording can add a unique twist to an otherwise ordinary pillow, too. I am definitely striving to be more brave with the patterns & especially color, but either way, its a lot of fun to play around with.
Today, I am sharing a few of my favorite pillow collaborations right now. These gals totally nailed the styling here. Their pillow combinations are spot-on. #pillowenvy
Have a look!
From sofas to beds, the looks above appear so effortless. Anyone can mix and match those prints, right?! I’d like to think so. For me, it isn’t even necessarily about the appeal of a certain décor style, but more about sensing the fearlessness in the design. Instant spark of decorating energy ignited! I’m for sure going to refer back to these, my inspiration looks & my design board while working away on our Guestroom Revamp project!
Please do check out the source noted underneath each photo to see more beautifully styled spaces, learn where to shop the looks and even how to DIY some of those great pillows!
Have a wonderful weekend, all! No plans for us, so here’s to hoping we can enjoy some springtime weather finally. My oldest begs to go outside and blow bubbles all day long, so there will probably be some of that in my future 🙂
