DIY Party Project: Birthday Bunting for Our Little Man

Hello, Saturday!  I have been thinking about starting a theme or series of posts to do on certain days of the week.  Since I don’t post too often on the weekend, when I do a Saturday post, it might be called Simple Saturday… a quick & easy DIY project you can do over the weekend.  The less expensive & fewer the supplies, the better!

So today, I have an easy DIY project to share on this lovely September Saturday. Below is a bunting I made for Henry’s 2nd birthday party  which was ABC & 123 themed! This type of personalized bunting would be so easy to create for any occasion {birthday party, tailgate party or for some cute fall décor} and it only costs a few dollars to make.  BINGO!

Supplies:

Scrapbook paper | Michaels

scissors

hole punch

twine | Amazon {I have used the same roll for TONS of projects!}

craft paint | Michaels

alphabet stencils or print your own {I didn’t like the font of the stencils I had, so I printed letters on a word doc (outline only) and then cut them out}

small craft paint brush

command hooks

Next week I am going to be finishing up a few more things in the playroom and will have several DIY projects to share – get excited {I am}!  You’ll get a peek at some of my playroom inspiration as well! I love how this room is coming together.

Here is where it stands!:

Determine Categories for toy storage

round up storage bins / buy more as necessary

Make labels

find toy storage bench

buy bench / put it together

Order fabric for cushion

Sew cushion

Paint bookshelves

Hang bookshelves

decide on art & photos for gallery wall

Hang gallery wall

Finish letters for reading nook wall

We’re making some headway, but I am taking the rest of the weekend off from projects!

Now go enjoy the rest of your weekend!
