2014 Highlights

Hi, friends! So glad you are here! Earlier in the week I highlighted some memorable events and activities from this past holiday season, so today I wanted to share a little bit about my 2014. It was an absolutely incredible year in my life and I don’t think I’ll even begin to scratch the surface while trying to recollect all of the wonderful moments I was lucky enough to experience.  The most obvious event was welcoming our 2nd son, Simon into the world in May. I am thankful everyday for the opportunity to be a mom. Our little guys are by far, my greatest and proudest accomplishments. They are my heart and soul and forever loves!

While summing up the year, I included a few personal milestones and the rest is focused on this little old blog. In March of last year, I began writing here and sharing DIY projects and home decorating adventures as a hobby. This is our Bliss has been my creative outlet; something I can turn to when I need a little “me” time and have no where to escape the everyday household craziness, but upstairs to my desk. I love crafting & designing spaces (I would redecorate every room on a rotating monthly basis if I could!) and have developed an interest in photography, so this little hobby is definitely something I can see myself doing for awhile. My hope is that someday I can turn this blog into a part-time job and even earn a little income! Who knows? Only time will tell 🙂

So let’s get to these highlights of 2014, shall we?

Next up are my blog highlights which are basically my yearly ‘stats’ generated by WordPress. I love that they put these numbers together for me to look at and now share with you. Totally humbling! I guess there are a few of you out there 🙂

There are several other areas that are nearly done, like the playroom which is about 75% complete AKA the longest-ongoing-project-ever! I have a few ideas to still incorporate, thanks to some GREAT ideas I received from a friend this morning 🙂 Who am I kidding though? I never stop switching things up and around anyway!
