The Ultimate Glam Girl Holiday Gift Guide

The Glam Girl Gift Guide 2016 | This is our Bliss

Hey, all! I want to take a second to thank you for all your sweet notes and comments about our Merry & Metallic Christmas Home over the past few weeks! It was nice to have the house all gussied up early, so I could relax and enjoy some time as a family before the hustle and bustle starts back up again. And that time is now! Since I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who still has some shopping and wrapping to do, I thought I would share a gift guide today that I’ve been working on for a little while. I’m calling this one The Glam Girl Gift Guide and it’s filled with items I’ve been eyeing lately and have even picked some up as gifts. Truthfully, I wouldn’t mind it if any one of these things were wrapped up with my name on the tag! T are you reading?!

I will say I always try to get a start on my shopping sometime in November, which works out nicely now that I’m a blogger. Who really wants to sit down and wrap fake presents to put under the Christmas tree for photos?! NOT this girl. This year, I had enough gifts purchased so I could wrap them up and put them under the tree…and pray that the littlest doesn’t rip them open to shreds every time he walks by…or the biggest for that matter! Only time will tell. 11 days to go!

So, if you still have a few things to pick up and want to do it from the comfort of your home, with a cup of hot cocoa or glass of wine, for that matter, in hand, then check out my gift guide below. I broke it down into 2 categories – for the home and stylish accessories, so it’s sort of like 2 gift guides in one!

Spoiler alert: It’s filled with lots of black, white, glitz and GLAM!

I’m a pillow fanatic and mixing textures and patterns is such a fun way to accessorize your couch. The black white gold gatsby pillowmermaid sequin pillow or the gray fur throw pillow would all make a fun addition to your sofa, chair or even bed! I love the geometric wine holder for a little pizzazz on the wall! It holds 3 bottles of wine and would look great in a little nook in the kitchen or dining room.  I’ve been looking for a set of marble coasters and these ones are GORG! Great stocking stuffer idea, too! A few other items small enough to fit inside a stocking or purchase for yourself and not feel TOO guilty are the monogram mugcopper capri blue candle [pink grapefruit & prosecco scented – yes PLEASE!] and the cute white and gold cheese knives. If you don’t want to use it as a stocking stuffer, put the set in a basket with a couple of yummy cheeses and a bottle of wine and it makes the perfect hostess gift!

You might recognize the leopard throw blanket from around my house. It is my absolute favorite blanket in the whole world and if leopard isn’t your thing, they make solid colored throws in various sizes as well. In fact, I have a couple of those, too. They are the world’s best blanket in my opinion. It’s a treat to snuggle up on the couch with one of these!

I couldn’t just limit the glam girl gift ideas for the home, so I wanted to share some of the fun accessories that have caught my eye and even made their way into my shopping cart this season. I am a true believer that your home style is often a reflection of your own personal style. If you know me personally, than this comes as no surprise to you. If I’m not in my mom uniform, then you can typically find me wearing a black top, pair of jeans and a few accessories. The rest of my ensemble truly depends on where I’m headed and the time of year.

I’m in love with this chunky bib necklace and the black choker necklace, too. Both could be worn with a super fancy dress or could amp up a t-shirt and a pair of skinnies. So versatile! I’m also head-over-heels for this simple, but sassy clutch and those round sunnies need me!! I can hear them calling my name!

How cozy do the sparkle cableknit socks look!? They come in 2 colors and are perfect for the winter months, whereas these luxe gold flips are perfect for the warmer months! And I can’t help but think of New Year’s Eve when I see this black and gold crystal watch. Pop the champs and pour the bubbly!

I honestly don’t know what I would do if online shopping wasn’t an option. While it is seriously the greatest thing ever, it is also waaaay too easy to click, click, click.  Then when it shows up on your doorstep, you’re like, “Wait a second!!! Did I really order all of this?!!” But at this time of the year, it’s ok to pop those items into your shopping cart from your couch because it’s too cold to actually go out shopping! The temps here in Chicagoland have been in the teens this week and well below zero with windchill. I can tell you that I am 100% not going out ANYWHERE else to buy anything. They will have to come to me! Most of the above items are from Nordstrom and Amazon. Both of which have super speedy shipping times and excellent customer service. I’m a big, big fan of both retailers. They’ve both made my life a teensy weensy bit less stressful these last few weeks!

As a mom of littles, the ability to do my Christmas shopping after the boys are in bed versus the alternative is a luxury that I truly appreciate. All of you mamas out there know what the alternative I’m referring to is and it’s NO fun for anyone!

So with that, happy holiday shopping to you! I hope you picked up a couple of ideas today and can get the rest of your shopping finalized and then begin wrapping.
