2 posts in a row? Who am I?! Well, if my series concludes without a hitch, I’ll have sent 4 days worth of Festive & Frugal 4th of July Ideas your way! Yes, that’s right! Today is day 2 of my four-part series where I’m sharing simple and inexpensive ideas to add a little fun and red, white and blue flair to your 4th of July party! Yesterday, I showed you an easy way to add some blue and red to your cocktail with my Raspberry & Blueberry Ice Cubes + 2 simple recipes that they will go perfectly in! Today, I have a yummy 30 second Raspberry Chipotle Cream Cheese Dip recipe for you. I know…more raspberry!!
I’ve told you guys before that I will never roll this blog into a foodie spot or recipe box joint, but since I love to entertain and enjoy making simple appetizers for family and friends, I thought it made sense to share with you. I mean…if you guys have a recipe that takes 30 seconds to make, I would hope you’d share it with me too!! And with this one, the only part that takes 30 seconds is the unpacking of the ingredients! The dips and apps I tend to make the most are the ones where I can pull a few ingredients from the refrigerator or pantry just before my guests are about to arrive. No loading the littles into the car seats and then in the grocery store only to haul them out of the store and back into the car and realize I forgot something on my list. Of course it would be some key ingredient to my fancy schmancy recipe. Nope, none of that here today. My favorite recipes have quickly become ones where I almost always have the ingredients on-hand at all times!
RASPBERRY CHIPOTLE CREAM CHEESE DIP
[*Affiliate links were used below.]
1 package of cream cheese [I typically use the reduced fat store brand]
1 bottle Roasted Raspberry Chipotle Sauce
1 handful of blueberries
Crackers or Pretzels
Simply lay the block of cream cheese on your serving dish or platter. Pour about 1/3 of the bottle onto the block and let it run over on all 4 sides.
Top with a blueberries. Let chill for 30 minutes before serving with crackers or [my favorite] pretzel crisps.
Now… I can’t tell you exaaaactly how many people this dip will serve because I usually end up eating at least half of it myself. The Raspberry Chipotle Sauce gives it this smoky, sweet flavor with a hint of heat and the blueberries add a touch of tartness. All of it is balanced out with the undeniably yummy taste of cream cheese. Something that is hard for me to keep out of my recipes!
I first thought of this idea when I was hosting an in-store DIY event at World Market and they had wine and appetizer tastings going on in-store right next to where I was set-up. They poured the Roasted Raspberry Chipotle Sauce over little sausages and put them on toothpicks. I loved the flavor and knew I could use it in so many different ways. And when I pictured the red sauce over the white cream cheese, I instantly thought how perfect a few added blueberries would be in order to turn this idea into a 4th of July party idea! You know…because I’m all about color-coordinating 😉
This Raspberry Chipotle Cream Cheese Dip takes a half a minute to whip up and it might disappear just as fast, too. At least if I’m in the room it will!
Don’t forget to pin for later!
