Here We Go Again!…Our Big Announcement

Can we really do this again?

Is now a good time?

Is now a terrrrrible time?

Oh, heck when is the right time?! Time to have a baby that is! Popping in today to share our big announcement with you all…We are expecting BABY #3!! We are seriously over-the-moon-and-stars excited to welcome our newest little to the family this June!

We announced it a couple of weeks ago to friends and family with this photo…

It was taken during our family photo shoot in the Fall and was so super early in my pregnancy, but we decided to take a leap of faith and ask our photographer to capture our “game of telephone”! Although the biggest can read, he didn’t think a thing of the message on the letterboard because, well, he’s already a big brother! We ended up telling the boys on Christmas morning. The potential names for their new sibling have been rolling off their tongue since then. I am most certainly going to have to jot a few of their favorites down – insanely funny!!

They’ve gone from both wanting a sister, to wanting 2 sets of boy-girl twins [and no we are not having twins!] to now, they both have settled on the idea of a brother. The biggest has an imaginary older sister and he said if we have a baby girl, then his “sister” can’t be here anymore because there just can’t possibly be TWO girls in our house! Oh how we die with laughter when he breaks down his logic for us.

We finally told them they have to wait until Mommy goes to the hospital to find out! Yep – we’ve decided to wait. We were surprised with the biggest and then found out with the littlest.

I’m just now realizing I’m going to have to re-name the boys on the blog—the littlest is no longer going to be the littlest. Tear!!

So, with a short 5 months left to go, we are planning to wrap up our kitchen project we started at the beginning of the month for the New Year, New Room Refresh Challenge and then tackle a few other projects in preparation for our new addition. The first trimester was a doozy! Completely exhausted, nauseous, the whole bit. Plus if you’ve experienced a pregnancy with another child [or two or more!] then you’ll know there is no rest for the weary!! Pneumonia right after Christmas didn’t help the situation much either, but I’m ready to take on 2018 now that I’m starting to feeling like myself again.

Hoping the nesting phase sets in soon…I’ve got a lot to get done!

I’ll be sharing a few pregnancy updates along the way and you can always catch up with more of our day-to-day doings over on Instagram. I’m thrilled to be sharing this news with all of you today and from what I can tell, some of my nursery projects are some of your very favorite posts! So stay tuned… 🙂

0You can see more kid projects in my project gallery and in this nursery post, this playroom post and this big boy room reveal post!
