Apparently I not only have Spring fever, but egg fever now, too. All of the Spring crafting and decorating so far this year has involved EGGS! Come and see my latest egg addition!
You may have seen this adorable speckled egg art print when I shared our Spring Entryway last week. Eggs have landed everywhere around here! I’ve gone the traditional, cutesy pastel egg route in the past when I made these Easter Egg Topiary Placecards, but this year I wanted to add a more subtle nod to the season.
When I found these adorable egg prints on the New York Library of Digital Publications, I knew they would be the perfect addition to my entryway table vignette.
Especially after creating these Leopard Print Easter Eggs and a set of pink, gold and black Marble Easter Eggs, I knew this small art print with classic speckled eggs was just right. It was super cute, but wouldn’t compete with everything else going on.
The colors are light and neutral and the unique prints on the eggs give it texture and bring them to life. I love seeing all the slightly different patterned egg sitting next to each other. You know mixing prints and pattern play is definitely something I can get on board with!
I just love this so much! And in case you want to frame some eggs up in your home, too, I’ve made it a cinch for you!

After I downloaded mine, I printed it out on cardstock and cut around the edges.
The frame I wanted to use was pretty large, a 20″ x 20″ and since I didn’t have a custom cut mat readily available, I resorted to my mat hack! All I did was cut a white poster board to fit inside my frame and simply rolled two small pieces of tape under the egg print and pressed it down on top of the poster board. The speckled eggs print is sitting on top as opposed to under a mat, but once it’s in the frame, you can’t even tell!
I love the look of a large, over-sized mat. It’s reminds me of one of my favorite frames of all-time. We have two of them and would love to add a couple more to our frame collection someday. But for now, I’m perfectly happy with my dupe!
I have quite a few more Spring posts to share with you over the next few weeks including a peek at how I gave our Master Bedroom a mini Spring refresh that will be on the blog tomorrow. Please stop back for another visit!
