Any  flowers will do, but we can all agree that fresh tulips scream Spring like no other! They are pretty much a Spring staple and I highly recommend you bring some into your home at least once this season! They last for weeks and I even continue to enjoy them when they are extra droopy and bent over. Who else does?!

2 | Hang a Spring wreath on your front door.

Make a one-time purchase and keep it year-after-year or make a simple one for a few dollars. Here is a Burlap and Floral Spring Wreath I made last year with dollar store supplies. Swap your wreath and front door mat out for each season. I think this is the rug I want for my front porch right now!

3| Buy a fresh set of sheets for your bed.

This goes for your guestroom OR the Master bedroom. Spring always seems like a great time to update some of the things we don’t think about as often. Freshly washed sheets are wonderful, but brand new sheets are dreamy! I recently grabbed a new duvet cover for our bedroom and I’ll be sharing it with you soon! It’s the perfect Spring touch on the bed!

4 | Use fresh or faux greens throughout your home [kitchen island, mantel, entryway table, etc.]

Grab a vase from your stash and add a few clippings from your yard. If you’re in the midwest like me, your next best option is to head to Trader Joes or your local grocery store and pick up some green vase fillers. I usually grab a couple bunches and put them in a vase when I don’t want to spend the money on nicer, larger bouquets. The fillers are usually only $3 or so. And they last!! I also purchased some faux green stems and they get rotated around the house fairly regularly. From my Living room coffee table to our Family Room mantel, they always seem to freshen up the space!

5 | Hang a Spring dish towel on the outside of your oven door or bar cart handle.

This is a quick and inexpensive addition to your kitchen. You can usually find cute dish towels for $3-5. I like to grab mine from HomeGoods or Target. I think these dish towels are so bright and cheery!

6 | Whip up a simple Stovetop simmer

Who does this and has a great recipe?!! My girlfriend, Heather of Southern State of Mind shares this lemon, rosemary and vanilla stovetop simmer recipe and I’ve been dying to try it! The scent would be so wonderful to fill the house especially if dinner party or weekend guests are on their way over.

7 | Place Spring-scented hand soaps in the kitchen and bathroom

My all-time favorite soaps are the Mrs. Meyer’s foaming hand soaps. The Lemon Verbena, Lavender and honeysuckle are a few of the ones we always have in rotation around here. I have them delivered regularly through Grove Collaborative. We also get our dishwasher pods, hand sanitizer, laundry detergent and more delivered to us. If you’re not familiar, you can check out my Grove Collaborative referral link and see if it’s something you might be interested in! I love that you can hand select your products, customize your shipping dates and always discover new items. When everyday household items are delivered to my doorstep without having to add them to my errand list, its a total win!

8 | Toss a Spring pillow onto the couch [soft, Spring colors, florals, typography, etc.]

This is one of the easiest ways to spruce up a space on a seasonal basis. If you don’t want to store a bunch of pillows, then simply buy pillow covers that you can easily swap out, wash and then put away until next year!

9 | Add a throw blanket to your chair or couch [lightweight blankets, pastel-colored throws, etc.]

I love using blankets in almost every room. In baskets, on the ends of the sofa, arm of a chair or at the foot of the bed. When you want to cozy up, it’s easily accessible. Especially in areas where guests are staying. You never know when they might get cold or just want to lounge with a blanket.

10 | Replace your hand towels in the bathrooms.

11 | Put up a colorful piece of art.

Bring some life and color into your space to welcome in the new season. The holidays are behind us and winter whites [or blues] are behind us now! You don’t have to go out and splurge on an expensive piece of art. There are so many free art printables out there! Or spend a few dollars and buy a digital download piece on Etsy. Rachael – just signed up for your blog posts. Yeah! Love your style and inspiration! As far as your bar cart goes, what type of container are the tulips in (gold, lower level); and what is that bowl on the top of the cart which is so unusual. Great if you have sources too. Thanks!

Hi, Penny!! Thank you so much! The gold piece with the tulips in it was a thrift store find and the bowl on top was from HomeGoods a couple years ago. Both were unique and caught my eye! I’m sorry I don’t have any source information for you. Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by 🙂
