Farewell Home Tour Summer 2021

Summer Home Tour 2021 - Farewell Home Tour This is our Bliss

Hello, my friends! And Happy Summer! As I mentioned in yesterday’s big announcement, today I’m sharing one final look at the house we’ve called home for the last 5 years. Yep, we’re on to the next adventure as we pack up our family of 5 & move to Arizona next month! It’s going to be a wild and crazy ride, but its one we are stoked about. I thought it would be fun to share the current state of our home [or at least how it looked before the boxes started piling up in every corner] in a Farewell Home Tour Summer 2021.

Thank you to Marty from A Stroll Thru Life  for inviting me to join 29 other talented bloggers to share our Summer homes with you this week.

If you are coming over from Southern State of Mind, then welcome! Heather is a no longer just a blog bestie, but someone I consider a very dear friend. Our daily chats fill my bucket and keep me sane. We have the best time together when we can sneak away on a girls trip to Haven or BHG Stylemaker. Her home is stunning [in real life, too!] and I love how her classic and coastal touches come to life in a fresh and modern way!

With all of the chaos that’s been going on over here for the last couple of months, I don’t have typical Summer décor spilling out everywhere. What I do have, is a stripped down and simplified version of our home to show you with a few snapshots from memory lane along the way!

I’ll be linking up the Room Reveals for each space shared today and you can always view my seasonal home tours here.

FAREWELL HOME TOUR SUMMER 2021

I can’t believe it’s time to say goodbye.

It seems like just yesterday we shared one final look at our last house and the empty house tour of this one, but it was FIVE years ago!

Since then, we’ve moved in, updated nearly every room, brought our third baby boy home to his nursery. We also watched our 2 older ones grow out of the toddler stage and into kind, loving, bright and energetic BIG boys.

Our middle, Simon celebrated his 7th birthday last week and Henry will be 9 in July [HOW is he almost as tall as me?!]. And Winston will be 3 in less than 2 weeks!

Where does the time go?

Before I get too emotional, come on in and take one last look before we pack up & pass the keys on to the next little family 😉

FAREWELL TOUR // THE ENTRYWAY

How to decorate for Spring for Free - Simple Entryway table decorating for Spring - This is our Bliss

Our entryway hasn’t received much of an update for the last couple of years, aside from the occasional vase of fresh flowers and an art print swap.

FAREWELL TOUR 2021 // THE LIVING ROOM & DINING ROOM

The living room got this new rug a couple years ago and my buddy on the ceramic vase joined our home just before the Spring Tour. His leaves are a little crispy, but I guess that makes him vintage?!

Here is the Dining Room in its simplest version. No tablescape or ornate place settings. Just a simple vase in the center. Gaaahhh, I still love that ceiling and light combo!

Fun fact: The Dining Room was actually the very first project I tackled in this house. I worked on it during the Fall 2016 One Room Challenge. It’s served us [and our guests] well as we’ve celebrated lots of family holidays and hosted dinner parties with friends in here.

FAREWELL TOUR 2021 // THE KITCHEN

Oh, what a difference these white cabinets a & glass tiled backsplash made in this house. The oak was tired and the fresh white and pops of black really brought it to life. You can see the Kitchen Reveal from 2018 here.

When we were showing the house, the kitchen never looked so clean! It was short-lived, but will always remain a fond memory ha! With 3 boys, we have an abundance of snack crumbs and sticky fingers so I’ll let you decide how things look after a meal!

FAREWELL TOUR 2021 // THE FAMILY ROOM

The Family Room didn’t get any special treatment this season either, but this room will always hold a special place in my heart.

We LIVE in this space.

FAREWELL TOUR 2021 // THE OFFICE [NEVER SEEN BEFORE!]

Oh and here is a peek of a room that you haven’t really seen since I revealed it as a Playroom in 2017.

It has been my office for the last 2 years and after listing the house, I was forced to pull it together and make it look presentable!

FAREWELL TOUR 2021 // THE BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS

Upstairs are our bedrooms, most of which don’t get zhushed seasonally, but I still thought I’d show you a peek at how things look right now!

I revealed Henry’s room in 2016, Winston’s Nursery in 2018 and Simon’s Big Boy Room in 2019.

I haven’t touched this space one bit! Other than taking the rails off the crib in order to turn it into a toddler bed!

Simon moved out of the nursery and into these digs a couple short years ago…

Henry & Winston’s Shared Bathroom Refresh can be found here and Simon’s Small Bathroom refresh was just completed earlier this year.

While we’re chatting bathrooms [and why, I’m not sure!] but here is a glimpse at our Master bathroom. She just got a mini refresh and now boasts a bold black vanity!

And you’re used to seeing our Master Bedroom – I’ve always loved a styled nightstand and can’t wait to put the touches on our new master.

We’re getting new bedroom furniture and I’m so excited to start browsing!

And if you need a reminder of what the basement looks like – you can see our updated Family hang-out space here, the guestroom here and the Basement Bathroom details here.

I’ve thoroughly enjoying sharing the process as this home has evolved and I can’t WAIT to have a blank canvas to start in on in just a few short weeks! Stay tuned for the Empty House Tour – AZ style and then let the fun begin!

We are ready to take on whatever comes our way as we embark on this new journey. Our next family adventure awaits us in the sunshine!

You can read more about our decision to move in my announcement post here.

Now be sure to stop by Kathy from Up to Date Interiors. She has a gorgeous eclectic style full of color and personality. She is as sweet as can be and I’ve seen her transform space after space in several homes. Her Summer tour is beautiful!

What a stunning home, we can’t wait to see what you do with your new one! I can’t seem to find where you got the rugs in your boys’ bedrooms. I love how simple the patterns are and they look very cozy. I have to get the rug in my son’s room deep cleaned by a rug cleaner every several months because it gets so dirty from him and our pets. I’m considering just replacing his rug, and I would love to get one you have!

You’ve done so much in this beautiful home. I think my favorite is that you worked with what you had and the results were always stunning and in your signature style. You’ve inspired me! I can’t wait to see what happens on your next adventure sweet friend!! Congratulations!

Love your home, it always looks so chic and welcoming. Can’t wait to have you as a neighbor in Arizona and see your new home. Since you will be arriving during the hottest month of the year, my only advice is to stay in the pool. That makes June a fun month. Lots of sunscreen and pool time with your favorite drink is how I spend the summer. Thanks tons for joining the tour again this season, can’t wait to see your new home for the next tour.
